The Baylake Bank Parade of Sail took place in Sturgeon Bay the morning of Thursday, August 12, 2010, as the kick-off for the Baylake Bank Tall Ship Festival in Green Bay, which ran August 13-15. Highlights of the Parade of Sail featured activities at Great Lakes Yacht Services including a pancake & porky breakfast from non-profit group P.A.T.H. (Promoting Access To Help Families with Special Needs); a performance by the Sturgeon Bay High School Band; featured speakers Tim Graul and Mark Pudlo, designer and engineer of the S/V Sullivan; and cannon fire coordinated along the bay to salute the tall ships as they motored through the channel.

Foreign ships slated to participate in the parade were the Roald Amundsen from Germany and Europa from the Netherlands. In addition the Lynx, Appledore IV, Friends Good Will, Unicorn, Wisconsin's flagship S/V Denis Sullivan, Pride of Baltimore, Roseway, Royaliste and movie favorite H.M.S. Bounty participated in the parade.

Spectators lined the shores of the Sturgeon Bay shipping channel and as the ships travelled through, the crowd cheered them on and provided the captains and crew with a hearty welcome to the community.
